PC (Steam): the confirmed version

The Steam page is the single source of truth for launch: wishlisting there gets you a notification the moment the Early Access build goes live on October 16, 2026. The game supports 9 interface languages — including English (with full audio), Russian, Ukrainian, French and German — and the Steam listing carries an AI-content disclosure: AI is used to voice game characters.

Steam Deck: compatibility Unknown

Valve's compatibility badge for Online: 404 is Unknown — the game simply hasn't been through Deck verification. Combined with no native Linux build, that means Deck play would rely on Proton and is not guaranteed. Given the GPU floor above, temper expectations until the developers or Valve say more. This page will be updated once a rating or a statement exists.

Xbox and PS5: nothing announced

No console storefront lists Online: 404, and Cornfield Games has never announced a console version. The developers are a two-person team shipping a PC Early Access launch first; if console ports ever happen, they would be announced through the Steam news feed and the game's Discord. Any site claiming an Xbox or PS5 release date today is guessing.

What about Mac, Linux and GOG?

Steam's own data lists Windows as the only supported OS, so there is no native Mac or Linux version to buy. A GOG release has been requested by players in the Steam community hub, but the developers have not committed to one. Workarounds (compatibility layers, cloud streaming) are unverified for this game — treat any "download for Mac" claim as untrustworthy.

Frequently asked questions

No Xbox version has been announced. No Xbox store listing exists, and the developers have only ever confirmed PC (Steam). Treat any Xbox release date you see as unconfirmed.

Does Online: 404 work on Steam Deck?

Is Online: 404 on Mac or Linux?

No. The Steam store data lists Windows as the only supported operating system; macOS and Linux versions have not been announced.

Will Online: 404 come to GOG or other PC stores?
